As a national intangible cultural heritage, colored stone mosaic has great development space and cultural value. Taking the modern colorful stone mosaic “Lip” as an example, the paper has explained the modernity and marketability of the symbol of “Red Lip”, providing enlightenment to the colorful stone mosaic skills and other traditional folk crafts. Intangible cultural heritages should make full use of modern symbols for actively connect with public life. Based on the inheritance of culture, folk crafts should be endowed with new cultural connotations to make themselves more innovative, humanistic and unique, so that they can be integrated into the modern market and be better inherited in generating economic value.
