The main plot of The Devoted Friend about little Hans and Miller is an obviously satirical story. But the fairy tale has dispelled the most obvious meaning by the form of the story, and even caused the completely opposite effect. Satire and moral are destructed in a variety of ways from inside and outside of the story,such as paradox, contradiction and uncertainty.The ambiguity of intention or even no intention makes the text become the pleasure of pure form only, meaning is far less important than the form itself, and the opinion of aestheticism which think highly of form has been greatly demonstrated.
