Abstract:In the Internet plus era, blending learning has become an inevitable trend of educational reform in higher education. Taking IT Professional English in higher vocational colleges as an example, based on smart classrooms and Chaoxing Superstar Learning app, this paper is intended to build an online and offline blended learning mode and carry out teaching practice with some first-year students from College of Information Engineering in a certain higher vocational college in Zhejiang for a term. Through experimentation, questionnaire surveys and interviews, it is found that the blending learning mode based on smart classrooms and Superstar Learning app contributes more to improving students’ learning effects, compared with traditional teaching mode. During the implementation of blended learning, universities’ overall support offers a guarantee, teachers’ preparation for attitudes and abilities plays a critical role, and students’ interaction and participation are fundamental.
